The Friends of the Derby Public Library
The Friends of the Derby Public Library is a group of citizens who have a common passion for the Derby Public Library’s active expansion and participation in community life. The Friends of the Library assist in helping promote library services and programs. We are a non-profit organization and all membership dues and donations are tax deductible.

The cost of membership is: Annual - $10.00 or Lifetime - $100.00
Board of Directors:
The board of directors of the Friends of the Library meets the first Monday of the month at 1:00 p.m. Members of the board of directors serve two-year terms and are elected at the annual meeting that generally takes place in October. Elections take place in even-numbered years. A committee will be formed to organize a slate of officers that will be voted on at the annual meeting on Oct. 29.

The Friends of the Library sponsors several activities at the library each year that provide opportunities for volunteering. Book sales, membership drives, and Santa’s Village are a few of the activities Friends are involved in. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Friends at the e-mail address below.
