City of Derby Resources:

Derby Economic Development -
The City of Derby’s Economic Development Department works with prospective businesses to promote job growth and encourage business development and stability in Derby.

Derby Planning & Engineering -
The Planning Department is responsible for review of all zoning and subdivision issues to ensure compliance with the City's Comprehensive Plan. The City Planner works closely with developers to ensure compliance with the City’s Subdivision Regulations and Zoning Ordinances, and advises businesses on many issues related to commercial issues, including signage, zoning and more.

Kansas Business Center -
The Kansas Business Center is your official state resource for information, filings, and personal assistance to start or maintain your Kansas business.

Kansas Department of Revenue: Business Registration -
If you operate a business which requires the payment of Kansas tax you must register with the Kansas Department of Revenue. Begin the registration process at least four weeks prior to the date you start your business.

Kansas Small Business Development Center -
The KSBDC at Wichita State University offers free consultation services and affordable training opportunities to grow Kansas entrepreneurs.  Part of a statewide network of KSBDC locations, the WSU Center has experienced business consultants ready to help you start or grow your small business.            

NetWork Kansas -
NetWork Kansas is growing an entrepreneurial environment in Kansas by cultivating resources to start and grow small businesses. It is a statewide network of non-profit business-building resources that help entrepreneurs and small business owners startup and grow successful businesses.
